Career

Elise COSENZA graduated from the University of Bordeaux in June 2021 with a Master's degree in Health Engineering - EUR Light. She first joined Sylvain MIRAUX's team (Centre de Résonnance Magnétique des Systèmes Biologiques) during her M2 internship before starting her thesis in June 2022 under the supervision of Laurent PETIT (GIN-IMN).

She is working in the IMPACT research group dedicated to neuroimaging. The main objective is to develop new elements capable of identifying these connection pathways in order to establish a reliable structural connectome in the brain of small animals.

The thesis aims to develop innovative 7 Tesla MRI approaches for diffusion imaging in rodents and to couple them with tractography tools currently under development thereby improving the reconstruction of white matter fibre bundles.
