CBMN/IECB Seminar - Andras Kotschy (Servier Research Institute of Medicinal Chemistry, Budapest, Hungary)

Andras Kotschy tiendra une conférence intitulée "From protein stabilization to degradation – how small molecules can have a large impact”.

Abstract

The area of induced proximity in general and targeted protein degradation in particular opened a new chapter in drug discovery and development. Their potential is well demonstrated by the significant number of compounds in clinical development or already on the market. The presentation describes some of our recent results targeting different elements of the molecular machinery (deubiquitinases, E3 ligases) responsible for the removal of proteins from cells. The discussed examples will also help to appreciate the differences between developing molecular glues and classical inhibitors.
